Two players showcase! Noblesse and Fly four winning streaks showed their power
Today is day 2 of this week’s ASiT. Team Korea’s top Terran player Noblesse did a good job, defeating team Singapore/Malaysia 4 to 0, became the first all-kill player in team Korea. Coincidentally, Zerg player Fly from team Taiwan Blue, also all-killed team Thailand, became the first all-kill player in Taiwan Blue.
If you’ve been watching ASiT Group A, you probably remember Noblesse. He was playing the first game today for team Korea, against the Zerg player Revenant from team Singapore/Malaysia. Zerg used double hatch baneling bust play. He tried to break Terran’s economics, but still not enough pressure to kill Noblesse. With three orbitals, Noblesse was able to catch up with his worker count. Zerg had not enough drones during the all-time; Terran’s main army pushed out and took the win away.
Second player from Singapore/Malaysia was pRoTimber who defeated Xy before. He chose to play on DayBreak against Noblesse. pRoTimber started with a fast expand play. Even though Noblesse was a one rax expand play, he did a good job on anti-scout which made pRoTimber wasn’t confident enough to macro up. Noblesse used hellions well to gain map control, not only expanded third base, but also pressured his opponent at the same time. pRoTimber tried to do some drops, but Noblesse’s warning mechanism was perfect. He lost almost nothing but killed his opponent instead. At the end he’s main army pushed out, took the second win. Singapore/Malaysia sent out their third player, the Protoss cobo. He chose the map Cloud Kingdom. Cobo went three base fast expand strategy. Noblesse scouted it, using multi drops and micro with the Korean Terran play style. Finally pushed out with ghosts, emp Protoss’s army and took the win.
Noblesse took the three winning streak, perhaps wanted to do the all-kill play. He was to face the other Terran player Oneplus for the fourth match on Dual Sight. At the beginning both did a mirror opening, but slowly the advantage went to Noblesse. Noblesse expanded earlier and took the economics lead. Oneplus failed his one base all-in attack, pushed out again when he’s got his second base up. Noblesse did a multi attack destroyed Oneplus’s economics; Noblesse also defended Oneplus’s main army well. Oneplus typed out GG. Noblesse took four wins streak, 4 to 0 took the win.
In Group B, team Thailand was to face team Taiwan Blue. First game coach Dus sent out Fly(Zerg) to play indy(Protoss) on Antiga Shipyard. At the early game indy put down two pylons to block Zerg trying to expand. Fly send out zerglings to Protoss’s base, knew Protoss spent 200 minerals on pylons and probably had not enough money to wall off. Protoss cancelled a mis-positioned building at the front door; fly saw it and rushed in zerglings, which massed up indy’s production line and economics. Fly took the eco lead and finally took the win.
Second game team Thailand sent out their Terran player, Maya. Fly luckily found Maya’s proxy rax all-in, defended it well and took the huge advantage. Fly went a very heavy baneling bust, took out Maya and took the game.
After losing two games, team Thailand had to send out the top Terran, RedArchon, tried to stop their bad luck on Metalopolis. Fly went three bases fast expand. RedArchon went two mineral three orbital play. Both players played very micro heavy, but RedArchon had not much army and wasn’t able to pressure Zerg’s economics. When RedArchon wanted to expend his third, Zerg was able to stop it and expanded two more bases himself. When RedArchon saw broodlords he knew it’s over and typed out GG.
Fourth game team Thailand sent out their Zerg jump. Will jump be able to stop Fly’s winning streak on Shakuras Plateau? Jump started with a safe defensive fast expand build. He delayed his zergling speed but attacked Fly’s second expansion unexpectedly. The result was jump lost all his zerglings because Fly had zergling speed and had enough zerglings. Fly pushed out with zerglings and jump had no banelings to defend, which made him lose the game. Fly led team Taiwan Blue all-killed team Thailand 4 to 0.

Team Taiwan White 3:4 Team China, No Place at Runner-up Match
Taiwan White had the opportunity to go to the runner-up match in June; today’s match became the key for them. Slam, Nifi and Jojo played hard and only one step away from winning, unfortunately Jojo lost and the advantage was taken by team China. Chinese player Xlous took the next 2 wins and 4:3 team Taiwan White. In Group B, iaguz took 4 wins all-killed team Japan, he also became the first player that played an all-kill in ASiT.
<iaguz was a famous Red Alert III player at the old times.>
Taiwan White sent out the Taiwanese Zerg, Slam, to play Chinese Terran player, Xy, on Antiga Shipyard. Slam successfully struke Xy with hidden zerglings. Slam then expanded his third and went mutalisks. Slam well-positioned overlords to observe Terran drops, which brought the advantages of Terran to the lowest on this map. Slam put down his fourth and went banelings mix with the swarm and went for the attack. Xy was able to afford the amount of zerg units and lost the defensive line. Slam took the first win.
<Slam's early zergling harass at Terran's third played very well.>
Team China carefully chose the next player, their top Protoss MacSed, to play on Cloud Kingdom. Commentators said that MacSed was famous for never does a two base all-in attack. Today he surprised everyone. After Zerg’s overlord’s sacrificing scout, he put down lots of gateways. Seven gateways timing attack with blink stalker’s micro, MacSed took out Zerg’ third. Slam typed out GG.
The score was 1:1, Taiwan White’s coach Manner then sent out Protoss player Nifi to fight against MacSed on Tal'Darim Altar. Nifi went a very fast immortal play against MacSed’s blink stalker play. MacSed went back and defend after seeing immortals. Both Protoss started to play a macro game. Just like the cold war between USA and Russia, but USA and Russia save nukes, Nifi and MacSed save colossus. Nifi went for the attack with eight colossi and took out MacSed, won the game.
<Even though Nifi was playing the best at TeSL, still played well at international tournament.>
After MacSed’s lost, team China sent out their top Zerg, XiGua, playing on Bel’shir Beach Winter. Nifi prepared sentries, wanted to scary XiGua away and expand. XiGua was also prepared, using huge amount of zerglings and destroyed most of Nifi’s sentries. Nifi wanted to do a counter attack but Zerg went all-in and killed every army Protoss had. Finally using roaches to break Protoss defense and took the game. Facing a strong Zerg like XiGua, Manner decided to send out JoJo. He used to defeat Sen on DayBreak. Facnig XiGua’s three bases fast expand; JoJo used his favorite unit, mutalisks, to take down XiGua’s two base economics. XiGua had to defend his last mining third base, but one base Zerg was too weak on economics. JoJo defeated the other top Zerg XiGua, took the game. Taiwan White push team China to face the match point.
<JoJo defeated XiGua, only one step away from winning the game.>
Facing the match point, team China sent out their Protoss Player Xluos to play on Entombed Valley. JoJo played well at the early game and mid game, almost played the game perfectly. At the end JoJo was about to finish the game but his broodlords and overseers were not together and lost his main force in a blink of eye. Xluos took the chance and counter attack, JoJo had to type out GG with 3k minerals and 2k gas.
At the final match of both team. Taiwan White sent out Protoss Gow to play on Dual Sight. Gow played very aggressive, chatted with his opponent at the same time. Gow did a fake pressure so Xlous had to make sentries to defend, at the same time put down robo and colossus. Xluos had to go for the attack after seeing Gow expanded. Gow almost defended Xlous’s attack but his key immortal was blocked by forcfields. Gow pulled back and defend the high ground, but Xluos’s colossi were too good. Gow typed out GG, team China 4:3 took out team Taiwan White.
<Xlous(front right) played very well, defeating two players, showing team China's competitiveness for the final.>
In Group B, Japan was to face Australia. First game was the Protoss player CriMson to play Terran player, iaguz on Angita Shipyard. Protoss played very macro heavy, double forge and blink upgrades with only a handful of sentries for defense. Iaguz went three base fast expand and used a little bit of units for harass. Unexpectedly CriMson’s forcefields did not position their best and the Terran army was able to go on the high ground. Iaguz caught the window opportunity and killed Protoss, took the first win.
<CriMson's mistaken forcefields made him lose the game.>
Second game Japan sent out ENZA, he chose to play on DayBreak. ENZA went a very fast colossus strategy to face iaguz’s bio army. The thing is that even though ENZA scouted iaguz but had not enough army for defense. This made him lose his robot facility and robot bay. Colossi with no range upgrade were not as powerful against the Terran bio army. At the end iaguz expanded his third and went for the attack, took the win.
After the two winning streak, Japan sent out their top player PSiArc to play on Shakuras Plateau. PSiArc went fast expand and iaguz went one one one strategy. Iaguz went for the fisrt attack and took out PSiArc’s little part of army, he also macro well and was able to catch up on economics. Iaguz had the vision advantage and went drops at PSiArc’s third and fourth, took them down and PSiArc had no eco anymore. Finally iaguz’s main army attacked into PSiArc’s base and PSiArc typed out GG. Is iaguz going to all-kill team Japan?
Team Japan sent out their top Zerg player, breek, trying to stop losing. He chose to play on Entombed Valley. Facing the match point, breek went a baneling bust strategy, with few hidden banelings in a narrow choke. Unexpectedly iaguz did a great job of scouting. Hellions found and killed the banelings. Break failed the baneling bust and both players’ economics were already far apart. Terran went mach play and keep on attacking, although breek defended it a few times, still not able to defend Terran’s reinforcements. Breek typed out GG, iaguz became the first player who did an all-kill play in ASiT.
<breek was economically behind, not able to defend Terran's death ball.> |

China took the win against Singapore/Malaysia. Taiwan Blue 4:1 Japan
ASiT and its first week of KoF system came to Day 2. Ranked 2 in Group A the team China was to face team Singapore/Malaysia again. Because of not enough players, team Singapore/Malaysia had to give up. Team China took their first win in the KoF week. In Group B, ranked 1 Taiwan Blue was to face team Japan. Protoss Hui and Zerg Fly took 4 wins together, ended it with 4:1 defeated team Japan. Taiwan Blue remains 4 wins 0 losses looking strong in Group B.
<Taiwan Blue's Hui and Fly both together took out team Japan.>
First game was the Chinese Protoss player Xluos against the Zerg Revenant on Metalopolis. Xluos went void rays with zealots pressuring Zerg’s economics after scouted Zerg’s third. Zerg managed to defend it and try to counter-attack with huge amount of roaches, but Protoss was already prepared with immortals. Xluo’s probes were always more than Revenant’s drones at all time. Zerg saw Protoss’s 3 base economics and Zerg’s main army was killed. Revenant had to type out GG.
<After Xluos winning 2 games, team SingaporeMalaysia wasn't able to find enough players and had to give up. China took the win.>
Second game, Singapore/Malaysia sent out their Terran player Oneplus, against Xluos on Cloud Kingdom. Oneplus went 4 barracks with 3 tech labs intent to go for a tech bio death ball push. Xluos scouted it with observers and warped in units to defend. Xluos defended it and took the lead in economics and techs. Oneplus planned to attack at multiple ways but his army was too weak. Protoss defended it with ease and counter attack took the win. Team Singapore/Malaysia also was not able find enough online members and had to give up the game. Team China took the win.
In Group B, Taiwan Blue was to face Japan. First game Taiwan Blue sent out XpecIM’s top Protoss Hui, against the Zerg who was first time in ASit, Vais. On Metalopolis, Hui scouted Zerg’s speed ling opening at the early game, Hui then put down buildings to wall off and he successfully defended Vais’s baneling bust. Hui took the lead of the game, even wanted to make carriers. But after Vais failed with his nydus network push, he typed out GG.
Second game, Japan sent out their top Terran player PSiArc, chose to play on Tal’darim Altar. Hui went 4 gate rush, put down pylon at opponent’s second base and warp in units on the high ground. PSiArc expended too quickly and had not enough to defend. Hui warped in huge amount of stalkers and micro his best to defeat Terran’s no stim army. Hui took the win with ease.
<PSiArc expanded too quickly, wasn't able to defend Protoss army.>
In the third game, Japan send out their Zerg player breek, he chose to play on bel’shir beach winter. Hui wanted to wall off at the second expansion but Breek used banelings bust successfully broke Hui’s wall and sneaked zerglings into Hui’s base. Hui was behind in the game and tried to all-in breek. Zerg was fully saturated and kept on making army. Hui was too late on expanding his third and fourth and was economically behind. Hui lost the game.
<Successfully harassed Hui's base, breek was lead in eco and took out his opponent.>
Taiwan Blue sent out Fly, he chose to play on DayBreak. Fly fast expanded, and breek went a fake expand real baneling bust strategy. Fly was not able to make banelings in time, but he smartly uses baneling eggs wall off his opponent’s banelings bust, defended it beautifully. Finally took Taiwan Blue’s third win.
<After Hui lost, Fly was sent and took the following 2 wins.>
Finally, Japan sent out their last hope, Enza, chose to play on Cloud Kingdom. Enza used a fake stargate true blink stalkers strategy. Since stargate costs too much gas, Enza had too big of open window time. Protoss’s economics was behind and had to choice but to attack. Fly used his huge army to surround Enza’s army; Enza was trapped at the top left corner. Stalkers were all killed during the fight with Zerg. Fly counter attacked and took the win. Taiwan Blue finally took out Japan with 4:1.

Taiwan White 2 : 4 Korea. Australia 4 : 1 Thailand
In the second round of ASiT, team Taiwan White was to face team Korea who hadn’t lost a single match. Taiwan White’s Wulong and Nifi took 2 wins, but lost to team Korea’s perfect lineup. In Group B, team Australia remains 2 wins 1 loss, was to face Thailand which had no wins so far. Australian 4:1 Thailand, Zerg Mafia almost all-killed their opponent. It looked like they are going to take the second place in ASiT.
First game Taiwan White sent out their top Protoss, Wulong, against Korean Terran player, Noblesse on Metalopolis. Noblesse started with a little pressure, Wulong defended it with ease. Second wave Noblesse decided to go with 1 base all-in attack because the second expansion was not easy to defend on this map. Wulong’s observer did a very well job, scouted Terran’s army and made immortals to defend siege tanks. Counter-attacked Noblesse and took the first win.
Second game Korea sent out one of their best Terran player, Sc. He chose to play on Bel'Shir Beach. Wulong played a mind game, used 5 gate rush strategy. Unfortunately when Wulong pushed out, Sc’s scouting SCV sneaked in Protoss’s base and scouted everything. Sc immediately put down bunkers to defend Wulong’s attack. Finally Sc pushed out with stim, Wulong typed out GG.

Taiwan White sent out the next Protoss player, Gow. This time he chose to play on Entombed Valley. At the early game Gow did not have any stalker in his base, Sc was able to scout everything. Gow went fast colossus strategy plus double forge upgrades. Sc attacked during this window timing, Gow only had one colossus and not enough army to defend. Sc’s stim bio army took the game.
<Gow did not scout and his strategy had too big of window opportunity for his opponent to attack.>
Since Sc was famous for his TvZ, Taiwan White had no choice but to send out another Protoss, Nifi, playing on DayBreak. At the start Nifi took three expansions and plus one attack and armor and had a huge advantage. Sc attacked and killed Nifi’s third expansions twice. Nifi kept on putting pressure to Terran and expanded to his fourth base. Finally when Terran had no economics, Protoss pushed out with his death ball. Sc typed out GG.
<Nifi took his tech and eco advantage and won the game.>
Team Korea knew Nifi’s weakest matchup was PvZ, and he lost many games on the Cloud Kingdom. Team Korea decided to send out their Zerg, Monster, to play on the map Cloud Kingdom. Facing Zerg’s three base opening, Nifi also went a defensive double expand play. Zerg’s three bases quickly fully saturated, Zerg started to build army and attack. Nifi was not able to defend the incoming zerg force from two different ways. Monster took the win.
<Monster's three base fast expand, made the Zerg swarm and took the lead in the game.>
After Korea won three games, it came to the match point. Taiwan White sent out Slam to play against Monster on DayBreak. Slam fast expanded, Monster pulled out drones with zerglings went for a very fast all-in attack, even put down a spine crowler. Slam was forced to cancel his second expansion; his zergling pool was also killed. Monster then hided some zerglings and attacked at the same time. Slam miscalculated and wasn’t able to defend. Finally two banelings finished the game. Team Korea 4:2 team Taiwan White.
<Slam wasn't able to defend the first wave and lost the game.>
In Group B, Australia used their top Zerg. Is he able to all-kill their opponents? Thailand sent out their Protoss player HaDez, on Metalopolis. At the beginning, queens showed their power after their range was increased, killed the scouting Protoss army. Protoss then did a fake push to give the Zerg pressure. Zerg did nothing about it and even put down his third base. Finally Zerg pushed out with tech roaches and took the game.
<Mafia(middle) was the first player of this match, with three winning streak almost all-killed his opponent.>
In the second game, Thailand sent out their Protoss, indy. He chose the map Shakuras Plateau to against Mafia. Facing Zerg’s three bases fast expand, indy went a very fast 4 gas stargate strategy, wanted to go void rays with warp prism drop. Unfortunately the warp prism with four sentries were killed, Protoss suddenly became behind in the game. Zerg kept trading more time with space, slowly took out the army of stalkers, and finally took the victory.
Thailand’s third Terran player Maya, chose to play on Antiga Shipyard. Mafia still is a top Zerg in team Australia, in the early and mid-game he was able to defend any Maya’s attack. Mafia took the lead economically and tech up his force, defeated Maya and took the game. Is Mafia going to be the first all-kill player in ASiT?!
Team Thailand finally sent out their “Thailand Emperor” RedArchon. In this match point, he chose to play on Entombed Valley. Terran went double proxy barracks pushing with bunker play, follow up with blue hellions and marines, kept breaking Zerg’s economics. Mafia tried to drop multiple times but nothing worked. Finally Mafia lost to Terran’s main army, not able to take the first all-kill player title in ASiT.
<RedArchon was prepared, stopped Mafia's all-kill chance.>
In the last game, team Australia used the other Terran player iaguz, playing on DayBreak. Although at the early game Iaguz was behind on economics, he had a fight at the Xel’naga tower and was able to defeat all his opponent’s tanks and took the lead of the game. RedArchon also tried multiple drops but failed. Iaguz used siege tanks to defend his third base, took the economical lead, push out his main army and killed RedArchon. Team Australia 4:1 team Thailand, took the win.

Taiwan White and Taiwan Blue took their wins, getting ready for the second round of the tournament
A great news for team Taiwan in ASiT! Team Taiwan White’s Terran player, Ball, took the match point win for his first game ni ASiT, 3:0 team Singapore/Malaysia. On the other hand, team Taiwan Blue in Group B was facing the undefeated team Australia. Sen’s well defense in the last game brought him the win. Taiwan Blue 3:0 Australia and ranked up to the first place in Group B. Both Taiwan White and Taiwan Blue had 1 win in the first round of the tournament, getting ready for the KoF system in next round.
<Ball and Sen took the last win, both Taiwan teams took their first win.>
First game Taiwan White sent out their top Protoss, Wulong, to face Oneplus on Shakuras Plateau. Since the map has a little more advantages for Terran, Oneplus wanted to both expand and tech up. After Oneplus’s early scout, he thought Wulong was playing a macro 2 base game. Oneplus did not scout at all after that, did not know Wulong was actually playing 2 bases 5 gate rush. Wulong took the windows opportunity, destroyed Oneplus with ease.
After Taiwan White took the first win, Zerg JoJo was sent to chase the winning streak. He was facing the pro Terran pRoTimber who’ve beaten Xy before. JoJo chose the fast muta strategy, scouted pRoTimber played a very heavy macro game. pRoTimber went marauder hellion push but was completely countered by mutalisks. Terran had not done any damage to Zerg’s economics, Jojo finally sent out a huge amount of mutas to finish the game. pRoTimber typed out GG.
<pRoTimber probably did not know JoJo loves mutas. Sending out Marauders hellions made him lose the game.>
At the match point, getting the first win in ASiT for Taiwan White was only step away. Team coach decided to send out the Taiwanese Terran Empire, Ball, to against the Malaysia/Singapore King of Zerg, Revenant, on DayBreak. Ball was behind economically after his main force was killed and expansion was attacked by Revenant. But Revenant’s army had some problems… The ground army was not able to help brood lords to attack. Terran well-used its mobility to multi-drops, broke down Zerg’s eco and tech. Ball took the last game, Taiwan White 3:0 took the win in the first round.
<Ball won his first game in ASiT. We look forward for more Ball's games!>
In Group B, both teams Taiwan Blue and Australia had not lost a game yet. First game of this round was Terran DS to face Terran iaguz on Shakuras Plateau. DS loves banshees just like JoJo to mutas, DS went a very fast banshee play. At the early game it seemed like banshees have not done much, but during the late game, the banshees helped out a lot on DS’s siege tank play. They were able to open the air vision, kill tanks with cloak and multi-attack opponent’s second and third expansion. Iaguz typed out GG, DS took his first win in ASiT.
<DS's beautiful micro and multitasking helped him took the win.>
Second game was also a mirror match, Zerg AK vs. Zerg Mafia on Metalopolis. AK’s micro was a little above Mafia’s, AK relied on killing queens and attacking Mafia’s expansion. AK quickly took his advantage on economics. Mafia had no choices but to attack AK’s third base. AK finally used spines with army to finish the game. Mafia surrounded.
<AK hold the tempo of the game, defeating team Australia's top Zerg Mafia.>
Finally Taiwan Blue sent out Sen, wanted to finish the game. Team Australia also sent out their famous Zerg JazBas tried to hold the match point on the map Dual Sight. Sen was always confident with his macro and micro, he started with fast expands. JazBas started with 10 pool rush, Sen defended without losing almost nothing. JazBas then quickly fall behind economically. JazBas tried to go baneling bust all in, hoped to finish the game, but Sen’s queen/spine/roaches made the perfect defensive wall to hold it off. JazBas knew the game was done and typed out GG. Taiwan Blue 3:0 Australia.
<Sen successfully fast expended and took the economics lead.>

Team Korea 3:0 team China. Team Japan 3:0 team Thailand took their first win in ASiT.
Before the matches it’s said that team China probably has the highest chance to challenge team Korea. Finally the time came. It seemed like Korea was well-prepared, beaten up China with 3:0 in group A. On the other hand, group B was Thailand vs. Japan, both with 2 losses. Team Japan played very well, finally with the result 3:0 team Thailand.
<team China probably has the highest chance to defeat team Korea in ASiT, but was deafeated 3 to 0.>
First round, Noblesse from team Korea was to face Xy from team China on Shakuras Plateau. Both Terran starting with 2 bases macro game, Xy chose the mech play strategy which took more gas than Noblesse’s mech bio combo army. Xy tried to expand while attacking but Noblesse took the Xel’naga tower first and destroyed Xy’s whole army. Xy knew his mech was too slow to produce and typed out GG. Korea took the first win very fast.
<Noblesse's mobile mech bio army helped team Korea took the first win against China.>
Second game was also the epic match we were waiting for. China’s top zerg XiGua vs. Korea’s Terran Sc. Sc was famous for his macro game opening, but not for this game. He started with proxy barracks, pushed the early attack with bunkers. XiGua had to make a huge amount of zerglings to defend, which set his economics behind. Sc then went the old school TvZ style, double starports banshee attack. That destroyed Zerg’s expansion and killed XiGua’s spawning pool. XiGua tried to get back to the game with 2 base 3 hatches but Sc pushed out and finished the game.
<Sc's proxy rush and unstoppable force made the Chinese top Zerg XiGua typed GG.>
The match point, team China sent out MacSed, tried to stop Keen from team Korea’s. Keen pushed out in the early game, also macro very well. Huge amount of marines made MacSed had to pull out probes to help defend. At the same time Keen expanded his second base, also micro his front army to kill all Protoss sentries. Keen waited until ghosts were done with pulsed 2 attack armor, pushed out before Protoss zealot speed and psi storm were done, took the win. Team Korea unexpectedly 3:0 team China.
<Keen's beautiful macro and micro helped team Korea took the win.>
Group B was Thailand vs. Japan. First game was Protoss indy vs. Terran Nemuke. Protoss went proxy stargate, intended to pressure Terran’s base with void rays. Unfortunately Terran scouted it with SCV, plus indy was economics behind. Nemuke expanded to 4 bases and multi-attacked the Protoss, Protoss’s army was wiped out and surrendered even without GG. Japan took the first win.
The second game both came up with their top player in the team. RedArchon was playing PSiArC, a TvT match on bel'shir beach. RedArchon went one one one fast banshee play. PSiArC scouted the double gases and he put down engineering bay immediately, and put down missile turrets everywhere. PSiArC then pushed out with his main army, cheated his opponent to push out his main army at the ramp, and destroyed it all. Japan took the second win.
<PSiArC scouted opponent's strategy and came up with a beautiful plan. It was impressive.>
The third game, Japan sent out the 18 year old Zerg Breek, vs. Thailand’s Protoss HaDez on entombed valley. Zerg went 7 pooled all-in. Protoss did not block the gate well, gateway was destroyed by zerglings. Protoss had to pull out probes to defend and lost a lot of them. Even though Protoss pushed back and killed two queens, Protoss still did not wall off and zerglings killed lots probes and the second time. Protoss wasn’t able to not catch up on economics. Zerg then used mutalisks and baneling drops to finish the game. Team Japan 3 to 0 defeat team Thailand.

The ZergKing took the key win. Korea 3:0 took two winning streak with ease.
Since the beginning of ASiT, audience in Taiwan was looking forward to the “Zerg King” Sen’s first game vs Thailand! He used a very uncommon strategy: mass queens, to remind everyone Mother’s Day is coming! In Group A, team Korea was to face team Malaysia/Singapore. Korea took another 3 : 0 in ASiT, so did Australia in Group A, hasn’t taken any loss yet.
<Team MVP, one of the top pro team in Korea. Many players play GSL, too.>
Team Korea sent out a Zerg player, Monster, who was first time to play ASiT, against Revenant who lost to XiGua last time. Monster opened with a very macro-look game, fast-expand follow with 16 pool! Revenant wanted to make a move but Monster had two hatcheries which made more zerglings than Revenant. Monster’s 2nd expansion was actually only to produce zerglings, not for macro propose. Monster then killed two queens of Revenant. Revenant was low in larva and had to pressure back, but Monster had banelings and huge amont of zerglings to defend. Revenant typed out GG.
<Monster were frequently seen at GSL Code A last year, now his international tournament results are greart too.>
The second game was also another civil war match. Two Terran players Noblesse and Oneplus, played on Antiga Shipyard. Noblesse took the air control with Vikings, also took the Xel’naga tower with tanks. Oneplus detoured and attacked Noblesse’s mineral line. Oneplus’s siege tanks came to Noblesse’s expansion, but with no vision, these tanks became a hopeless army. Noblesse trapped Oneplus’s tanks; stim marines went straight to Oneplus’s base and killed everything. Oneplus typed GG.
The third game of round one, team Korea sent out the famous Terran player Sc, to take down the match point. Team Singapore/Malaysia also sent out Cobo, tried to hold this match point. Cobo put down very early gases, robotic facility and twilight council, but only upgraded plus one attack and armor. Sc’s Terran army came to destroyed Cobo’s economics, pushed out with his main army to kill Cobo’s remaining force, and showed why he is a Code S player. Team Korea 3 to 0 took down team Singapore/Malaysia with ease.

After group A matches, we have Group B coming up. It’s team Thailand vs. Taiwan Blue. First game was Thailand Terran player Maya vs. Taiwanese Zerg AK. AK sneaked zerglings to scout Terran’s base, decided to banelings bust rush. It’d been a little tough but AK successfully busted in and Terran’s productions were surrounded by the Zerg swarm. AK took the win, team Taiwan Blue took the lead.
<AK's two base baneling bust, successfully took the win.>
The second game was a Protoss player HaDeZ vs Zerg player Fly. Perhaps both were bearing the pressure of competing for the national team, both sides played extremely careful. At the early games both sides were nearly equal, but during the mid-game Fly sacrificed a huge amount of zerglings, still wasn’t able to kill HaDeZ’s third expansion. Zerg tried to use infestors and brood lords to get back to the game, but Protoss used blink stalkers with colossi to finish the Zerg army. HaDeZ helped Thailand to get 1 point.
<Although Fly had a fine result in TeSL in Taiwan, he's still not took his first win in ASiT.>
The third game was Thailand’s Protoss Indy vs. Taiwanese Terran DS on Antiga Shipyard. Indy failed on scouting at the early game, guessing DS would made an expansion, Indy chose to do a four gate rush strategy which is rare on this map. DS scouted it and defended it with high ground bunker. DS’s one one one opening gave him hellions and banshees to harass. When Indy saw banshees came, without any observer himself, Indy surrendered immediately. Taiwan Blue got 2 wins and it came to the match point.
<DS's cloak banshees made his opponent typed out GG immediately.>
The next game was the zerg king of Taiwan, Sen, vs. the emperor of Thailand, RedArchon, on Cloud kingdom. Terran used a strategy that hasn’t seen for a long time: two starports producing a big amount of banshees. Sen sent out a kamikaze overlord to scout, put down spore crawlers and queens, with beautiful micros the defense line was unbreakable. One base Terran was behind economically, RedArchon tried to expand to get back to the game. But Sen expanded even more, did not want to giveaway his advantage.
<Sen's large number of queens defended opponents attack very well, took the game beautifully.>
Finally Sen made the MVP unit of the game, large amount of queens (so-called the “mother” in Taiwan). Its anti-air, transfuse and creep tumors were well-used by Sen. Sen launched the final attack at RedArchon’s third, at the same time queens defended RedArchon’s attack very well, Sen took the win. Team Taiwan Blue 3:0 team Thailand.

MacSed two wins taking down Taiwan White. Australia 3 : 0 Japan with ease
ASiT went straight up to another level on the 2nd of May. At Group A’s matches, Taiwan White was to face one of the strongest team, team China. Taiwan White’s Wulong and Slam won 2 matches, but the Chinese strong Protoss MacSed also took 2 wins, team China 3:2 team Taiwan White. In Group B, it was the first time team Australia vs. team Japan. Team Australia did not have much pressure from team Japan, winning 3 games straight and took their second win in ASiT.
First round was Comm vs. Wulong on DayBreak. Both went on a macro game where Comm fast expanded and so did Wulnog. Shortly afterwards, Wulong went on expand his third, with only a handful of units harassing Comm’s Zerg army. Comm tried to attack back Wulong at multiple places at the same time but Wulong was ahead at economics and able to warp in more stalkers than roaches. Wulong attacked and broke Comm’s defense line, took the first win.
The next ASiT match is the Chinese Zerg player Toodming against the Taiwanese Protoss Gow. Protoss went fast expand at 17 supply with no scout at all! Toodming said: “No way!” and chose to all in Protoss with massive drones and his Zerg army. Gow tried to chrono boost his gateway but the zerg army was simply unstoppable. Gow gambled away the win.
The next match was NGF’s top player MacSed, vs. Xpec Ironmen JoJo on metalopolis. After killing scouting overlords, Protoss put down a large amount of gateways going to pressure Zerg’s third. JoJo had no idea how many gateways there were, trying to get back to the game with base trade strategy. Although Jojo had made lots of roaches, Protoss forcefields were still too good. With no economics, Zerg could only watch his expansions to be taken down. MacSed successfully took the game.
And then it came to the match point for Taiwan White. Zerg player Slam vs. Protoss player Xlous, on Dual Sight. At the early game, Slam was able to sneak units into opponent’s base. Xlous did not want to put down the key building while the Zerg was scouting his base. Although Xlous’s timing was off, he was still a Grand Master player. Playing with 2 bases still gave Zerg a lot of pressure. After Zerg traded Protoss’s main army, Protoss wasn’t able to catch up on supply. Slam took the game and everything came down to the last Ace match.
For the final match, both teams sent their top player: MacSed vs. Wulong playing on Cloud Kingdom. MacSed chose a fast colossus tech strategy. Wulong was planning on expanding but cancelled his nexus while his observer scouted MacSed’s strategy. Wulong went blink stalkers and tried to take advantages of its mobility, but MacSed defended it very well. Wulong then made some micro mistakes, stalkers were killed. Finally Wulong tried to expand at a hidden location but six colossi were too strong, Wulong typed GG. Team China 3:2 took down team Taiwan White.
At Group B’s matches, team Japan was to face team Australia. First game was the Protoss player who took down HRU last week, ENZA vs. Zerg player Mafia on DayBreak. Protoss went blink stalkers mix with immortals strategy to against Zerg’s all in roach lings, but the Protoss did not place forcefields well and his main army got destroyed by the Zerg swarm. Mafia took the win easily with mass roaches.
The second game, Protoss player ChiMsoN who took down Fly last week, was going to play against the Zerg player Poker on Entombed Valley. Protoss started with stargate strategy, since Zerg is always weak at anti-air at the early stage. Although ChrMsoN did give a lot of pressure on Zerg, something went wrong with his macro. He was economically behind. Zerg put down a lot of spine crawlers which made the Protoss not able to move anywhere. At the end, Poker moves all the spines into Protoss’s base, neural parasite the mothership and sucked the whole Protoss army into vortex. Using fungals and infested marines to finish the base, Poker’s beautiful micro took the game.
The third game of ASiT today was New Zealand’s Zerg player Jazbas against the Terran player PSiArC who played an epic match last week with DS. PSiArC tried to harass during the early game but did not hurt the Zerg much, which made him overall behind in the game. Jazbas also upgraded to hive early and made ultralisks, infestors and zerglings to defend PSiArC’s siege tanks push. Jazbas then started to expand everywhere and PSiArC’s third was destroyed at the same time. PSiArC typed out GG. Australia took down Japan 3 to 0.

ASiT China 3:1 Singapore/Malaysia, Taiwan Blue DS two winning streak 3:2 Japan
Day2 of ASiT, pro team iG from China 3 to 1 team Singapore/Malaysia. Taiwan Blue was playing the pro team, Type Gaming, from Japan with struggle, even got into 2 match points. Finally DS was able to won 2 winning streak, 3:2 Japan.
The attention came to team China’s first match. They sent out the Protoss player MacSed on Cloud Kingdom. Team Singapore/Malaysia also sent out the Terran player Oneplus as the first player. MacSed played a macro opening with a one gate expand strategy. Oneplus scouted it and chose to go one base all in. MacSed’s stalker scouted Terran had no expansion at the 6 minute mark, he knew what’s coming. MacSed successfully defended the first Terran all in, push back with colossus, took out Terran’s army with ease and took the first win.
The second game team Singapore/Malaysia used a Zerg player Iceiceice, playing against Xlous on Antiga Shipyard. Iceicecie 6 pooled but Xlous had advantage of his forge opening. Xlous defended zerglings easily with cannons and finally won the game.
It came to the match point, team Singapore/Malaysia used a Terran player pRoTimber, to play against team China’s iG.Xy. Xy firstly failed to rush his opponent, but he still defended well enough to also expand another base. pRoTimber patrolled some vikings at his mineral line to stop drops because he knew he wasn’t the best at micro. Xy tried to attack multiple places at once, but pRoTimber had a great map control. Xy failed to attack. After pRoTimber destroyed Xy’s forth base, Xy knew it’s over and decided to surrender. Team Singapore/Malaysia finally won one point.
After losing one game, team China used one of their best Zerg, XiGua, to play against the famous SEA Zerg player, Revenant, on the map DayBreak. In this ZvZ game Revenant went with a 10 pool strategy, but XiGui scouted it and also put down his pool early to defend. Revenant failed the rush and Xigui not only pressure back with zerglings and banelings, but also drone up at the same time. Revenant had no choice but to keep on attacking XiGui. XiGui defended very well and won the game. Team China 3:1 took out team Singapore/Malaysia.
The second round of the day was team Taiwan Blue vs. Japan for the first time. The first game was HRU vs. ENZA on Cloud Kingdom. At the beginning HRU was teching up and expanding at the same time. ENZA found the window timing and destroyed HRU’s second expansion. The same time HRU pressure back with blink stalkers plus forcefields, the game was still not done. Even though HRU was behind on tech, he was ahead on economics and army size. ENZA knew he was behind and had to all in. Finally HRU and ENZA battle out at a narrow choke; HRU’s position was not the best and lost the game with tiny mistakes
After losing one game, Coach Dus used Hui on DayBreak hoping to take the next win. His opponent was Breek. Facing Zerg’s three base pressure, Hui used sentries to defend the early game. At the mid game, Hui tech up to blink stalkers and immortals, easily defended Breek’s roach army. Hui chose a perfect place to battle: the open area between the third and the forth on DeyBreak. Using observer, high dps units and beautiful positioning against high tech roaches, Hui finally won the game.
The third game, Dus sent out Fly to face the Japanese Protoss CriMsoN. Fly’s macro and micro went very well during the early game. He chose to baneling bust Protoss but CriMsoN defended it well with forcefields. Fly lost his tempo of the game and also short on supply. At the same time CriMsoN gather up his army and attacked Fly. Fly was not able to defend and typed GG. Taiwan Blue came to the match point for the first time.
Coach Dus believed his last Ace card would be DS, to face Japanese player Psiarc on Bel’sir Beach. Psiarc’s defense was perfect. DS pushed out with his main army, it came to a base trade scenario. DS hold the base trade advantage, position well to defend at his base. Psiarc knew he could not win the game, typed GG. DS saved the first match point for Taiwan Blue.
The last game, Dus sent out DS again to face the same player Psiarc on Metalopolis. Psiarc chose to go with a one base all in strategy, DS pulled out SCVs to help defend until the siege tank upgrade was done. DS then used Viking and Raven to take the air control and vision advantage, successfully push Psiarc back. DS used 2 orbital commands to quickly equal back economics. He send out a army with tanks, sieging up at Psiarc’s production facilities. Psiarc chose to base trade but DS had enough army to finish up Psiarc’s base. Psiarc typed GG. Taiwan Blue 3:2 Japan.

Two commentators broadcast results 10 out of 10. Taiwan White still loses team Korea.
Today, ASiT had a new experimental initiative. Instead of one host and one commentator to cast Starcraft II games like previous, this is the first time for TeSL to have two commentators. We bring you the pro caster SoBaDRush with our new freshman eScAlpha to cast ASiT. Team Taiwan White was not able to defeat team Korea, was not able to show their first win to Taiwanese audience.
<Two commentators broadcast results 10 out of 10.>
In the first round, team Taiwan White’s Nifi was facing team Korean’s MVPNoblesse on Cloud Kingdom. Terran went one barrack directly into four rax opening, twice scouted Nifi’s Twilight Council and his double gas. Noblesse found the window timing while Nifi was upgrading techs, he brought his Terran’s death ball. Even though Nifi defended it, he lost too much army in the fight. Finally while Nifi was breaking the destructible rocks, Protoss’s army came and destroyed Nifi’s last army. Team Korea took the first game with ease.
The second game team Korea sent out another Terran player. MVPKeen vs. JoJo on the map DayBreak. JoJo’s third base timing was scouted by MVPKeen and MVPKeen kept putting pressure on JoJo’s third. Two bases’ Zerg vs. two base’s Terran was always not the fight Zerg wanted, JoJo was behind economically and finally was defeated by Keen.
<Even though Noblesse is not one of the known korean player, he is still very strong.>
Facing the match point pressure, Taiwan White decided to go with Wulong, against the Korean side MVPSc on Entombed Valley. Wulong tried to make the first move before Terran’s stim pack and madivac, but Sc realized it and prepared for it. He defended it with his huge army and bunkers. Wulong failed the attack but he was also economically behind, which made him decided to attack one more time. The same time stim pack was done; Terran defended the second wave easily and also dropped at the Protoss base. Wulong had to go back and defend, Terran not only found the perfect timing to pressure back Protoss, but also ended the game. Team Korea 3:0 team Taiwan White.
The second round was originally Australia vs. Thailand, but Thailand did not show up for the match. Instead, Taiwan Blue and Taiwan White decided to have a show match. The first game was Hui vs Slam on DayBreak. Zerg successfully used zerglings to not only pressure Hui’s third expansion, but also expanded fourth base himself. Protoss was unable to catch up on economics. Hui turned his army into a mixture of colossi and immortals to against zerglings and ultralisks, but Slam straightly tech up to brood lords and pressure Hui back. Finally when Hui’s mothership was out, The Zerg swarm went up and killed every Protoss unit in seconds. Hui typed GG.
<Fly took the last won against Wulong at ASiT.>
The second game Taiwan Blue’s Fly was to face Taiwan White’s Wulong on Bel’sir Beach. At the start of the game, Fly successfully sneaked zerglings in to harass Protoss base. Wulong also made a huge mistake of destroying his one important pylon, which powered off his Cybernetics Core and Robotics Facility. After Fly expanded, he started to pressure Wulong. Even though Wulong defended Zerg’s first wave with amazing forcefields, the Protoss army was not able to defend the unstoppable Zerg swarm. Wulong had to type GG.
The last game was a special match between Taiwan White’s coach, Manner, and the representative of team Taiwan blue, SoBaD. At the start Manner wasn’t position his second base on the perfect grid, but as a real man, Manner does not cancel it. Two evil players started a series of psychological warfare. Finally, the 36-year-old coach Manner defeated the 28-year-old SoBaD with some beautiful blink stalkers, not only brought Taiwan White to defeat Taiwan Blue, but also had won one show match game against SoBa |

Dus Needing Reinforcement, HRU joined Team Taiwan Blue
Because Team Taiwan Blue – Gamania Sen and XpecIM Hui both are going to other international events during the end of the month, Coach Dus was worried about the vacancy on the team during that period; he demanded for reinforcement and decided to recruit Tt-eSport HRU. Now the Team Taiwan Blue is looking even stronger.
“The reason why we only have got 5 players in the team, was because we wanted to keep the room for more flexibility.” said by Coach Dus. “I wanted to observe a little more on other teams. After all it’s an international tournament; it can be very different from our national Taiwan e-sport league.” There are many pros in Taiwan, but it’s more important to have a strong team.
But Sen and Hui disrupted Dus’s plan. Sen is also preparing to fight for the NASL’s new season, and Hui is going to another international event, too. “It’s difficult to find someone to replace Sen’s vacancy, but there are other strong Protoss that can fill Hui’s place.” After Dus’s deep thoughts, he decided to ask Tt-eSport’s pro player – HRU, to join his team.
“Originally, I was going to be the audience, but to fight for my home country, of course I will!” HRU said. Originally he only intended to cheer for the 2 teams, now he decided to fight. “Thanks for the support from everyone.” HRU expressed his appreciation to fans, also hoped everyone to continue support his team Taiwan Blue.
Asking about his goal after joining the team, HRU said: “I hope I will at least get… 1 point for the team!” HRU joked. Taiwan Blue will be even stronger now, and Coach Dus won’t blame you if you accidently get more than 1 point!
